Ski touring

Ski touring is all about escaping groomed slopes to immerse yourself in the beauty of our magnificent mountains.

You will need touring skis and boots designed for the activity; telescopic poles are recommended, along with a backpack (containing an avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe) for spare gear and snacks.

The variety of local peaks offers us a wide range of options.

We will learn how to attach and remove skins, perform kick turns, navigate around obstacles, and more.

Safety and group communication are paramount.

Checking the weather forecast and the avalanche bulletin (B.E.R.A.) is essential.

Tours undertaken after the ski lifts close are a unique experience; we will be equipped with headlamps.

Scenery, fresh air, wildlife...

HUMILITY: the ability to change your route to avoid putting yourself or the group in danger.
